4th Edition was released in 07. I don't play D&D myself, being a GURPS person who occasionally ventures into Shadowrun, but I can fake it.

There will be more. This has the makings of a 30 000 word epic, where I vent about all the bookshop craziness I have to endure at work to an unsupecting bandom. Well, not completely unsuspecting, because akire_yta used to work at the same bookshop.
